Yes Kathy, one of a few I bought from Cotswold Garden Flowers, you were right, they are a good alternative to acer in my cold garden.
Karen, yes, dont worry, they will take a good pruning and not too bad to deal with, I like them alot and of course the berries follow.

I added this one recently Dawn. Its lovely! Mind you, having seen some mature ones in a friend's garden yesterday, I am now beginning to think that my pod garden will soon be a bit crowded! They are so beautiful though, and can be cut right down if need be. :)
