I now have more sky, more sunshine, more light and it's lovely. The Council finally decided to remove 3 or 4 of the huge trees around the pond. One fell down last winter minutes before the school run started so that mayu have decided them that action was necessary. Unfortunately they haven't removed the one that regularly throws one of its branches at me :)

Dorjac, that is exactly what I said when they had completed most of the felling on the first day :) Two weeks later it still surprises me when I first go out - the tortoises are loving the extra sunshine too.
