Aaaah got to be a Munson he's famous for his watermarks, could be 'Cameroons' I have that and its an amazing velvety claret colour.

Thanks Simbad, It is prettier than the picture, my camera is getting on a bit like me. It looks like velvet close up.

It's one of those colours that's really hard to capture :-)

I've just had 5 minutes and looked up Cameroon's and it certainly looks the same. Yesterday afternoon I had a nice row of 5 or 6 the same flowering. You're very good with this naming lark.
Thanks for your help.

Some have quite distinct colouring, I wouldn't like to guess at a lot of the plain colours or eyed varieties there are sooooo many similar ones :-)

Would you believe it Simbad,I have another the same as this one that flowered today and it has a label, Kabuki Ballet.
I looked it up on Google and it looks right. What do you think?

It looks right to me too Thorney I just looked on the AHS database and also Cameroon's is the pod parent to Kabuki Ballet ;-), fingers crossed you have a few more labelled ones that match the unlabelled!

Thanks, let's hope so. What's a pod parent Simbad? Thanks again for your help.

Kabuki Ballet is a cross of Cameroons x Respighi the first name is always the pod parent, where the seed pod develops, Respighi is the pollen parent :-)
