A fairly hardy and particularly good South African species.

I do. It's the only way to get a wider choice.

It is Amy. It remains to be seen how hardy it is though.
Which ones have you got coming along from seed.

Thanks Meanie. Do you have any favourite places where to buy seed? We love Salvia, dont we Amy. I put my Scarea seedlings in the cold frame after potting on and the snails had a field day, rescued them though.

Dawnsaunt - I use Annette Bax in Australia.............

note; when visiting her shop it is important to change the ebay.co.uk bit in the address bar to ebay.com.au. If you don't you will see no items for sale.
I am also signed up to Robin Middletons seed list which he sends out in the new year.
Amy - S forsskoalii at the very least needs to be in the ground.

Use Robins site to research before you buy. Being in Townsville QL she can grow the winter blooming species as well. They're good but require a little effort................

Thanks Meanie. We are in a frost pocket here so always have to go for hardy, are the winter flowerers hardy? Plant World Seeds have a good selection. Robins prices are a little high if we only receive a few seeds?

Sadly, Robin Middleton died at the beginning of this year. His website is still running though

I am sad to read of his passing. I bought three Salvia plants at a Wisley Plant Fair in September 2018 and Robin was featured in the RHS 'The Garden' magazine "Sage advice on Salvias".
I e-mailed him for some advice re my new plants and he replied with the information I requested, had a great sense of humour within the message too. R.I.P. Robin.

I was fortunate enough to visit his garden about three years ago (he lived about four miles from me). A lovely guy
