Green grasshopper (I think)

I found this little creature in my kitchen and after chasing him around the floor for 10 minutes (he hops) I placed him outside on one of my heuchera. He has now lived there for the last month or so. I have become quite attached to him :)

I understand the attraction,i have a small water feature I pass each time I go up and down the garden and a month or so ago I spotted a water Boatman on the surface a single one followed some days later by about ten of the tiniest babies, the adult is still there and about half the babies who are now about half the size of mother/father, fascinating !

Couldn't resist looking the poem up, DD2, I hadn't heard of it before:

Grasshopper Green is a comical chap;
He lives on the best of fare.
Bright little trousers, jacket, and cap,
These are his summer wear.
Out in the meadow he loves to go,
Playing away in the sun;
It's hopperty, skipperty, high and low,
Summer's the time for fun.

Grasshopper Green has a quaint little house;
It's under the hedge so gay.
Grandmother Spider, as still as a mouse,
Watches him over the way.
Gladly he's calling the children, I know,
Out in the beautiful sun;
It's hopperty, skipperty, high and low,
Summer's the time for fun.

Unknown author which is a shame but it amused me. Still can't understand why they come indoors though :)
