I love this little Sisyrinchium. Bought mine a long time ago as 'Quaint and Queer'. Not sure why. It doesn't seem to spread and seed like the others I have. Lots of seed heads on my blues if anyone wants to grow these.

I love the dark blue one which I have, as well as a pale blue, and a yellow, all dwarfs. And Simbad gave me the medium 'bird of paradise' Sisyrinchium, which is just flowering. Always lose the variegated 'Aunt May' each winter, although the plain striatum does fine.

I've lost 'Aunt May' 3 times so gave up on it Siris., wasn't cheap either. I don't think it likes the wet in my garden in winter as the river at the bottom rises and the water table with it. Striatum seeds itself better than the weeds! My little californimum, yellow one, has disappeared too. The others are in pots so maybe that's the answer.

The dwarf yellow has only started to flower now, but the others ages ago, maybe give it time. These are not the sort of plants I usually label, so when I tried to send a particular colour to someone in Autumn, I was unable to distinguish them. If you want some in Autumn, let me know and I will label some.

Thanks, I have lots of seed heads on the blues especially Idahoense 'Rocky Point' which is a bit bigger than the other blue I have. (If anyone wants any seed from the blues small or large.)
