These are my second lot of lobelia Dawn three years old now I lost my first ones yes you've guessed one of those cold winters, collecting seeds does have advantages ;-)
The salvia does survive in this spot from year to year but not in other areas of the garden these must have been here 5 or 6 years now there are a few extra self sown ones which have crept in too :-)

Ive been lucky so far with my lobelia. Wish the salvia scarlea was tougher. Like you say, saving seed is invaluable

Beautiful Kathy. Look how far down the Tupa flowers go down the stem. Does your S sclarea survive each year, mine doesnt, sadly.
