I've not tried growing vegetables (apart from the occasional hairy potato that's been in store for too long) - as I don't eat much green veg there didn't seem any point.
Would like to try peas, though; they'd be *really* fresh. Don't think I've eaten green beans for decades; the last lot I was served were pretty awful.
my friend Ron gave me a rhubarb root, ha has a four-foot-squire raised bed full of the stuff.
we haven't had much rain here, and i keep forgetting to water hte plants; even when it does rain i've got some close tot he house that still need hand-watering.

Did once grow rhubarb but this year trying beans. Lots of lovely rain today after weeks of hardly any at all. The beans are blooming well but a long way to go before any land on my plate....if they do.
