The thing that is special about this is that it was started just this last January and is the first of the new group to flower. I hope that it will be different next year since its pollen parent is Strikingly Dramatic.

You are hybridizing for your area and the weak don't make it. Daylilies are tough, and being in pots can cause them to stall.

I have buds on one started last year !, decided to plant them out instead of keeping in pots overwinter, in a sheltered bed in the garden, only lost 2.
Great flower for a first year flowerer!!
