A lovely feature,Sheila..I bet that walk made your day :o)

Absolutely Sandra :)) I wonder if the bonsai get passed down in families, because they're often over a hundred years old. I'm worried now, lol, because I can't imagine our boys being interested . . . Steve is only interested in growing giant pines!

I admire the patience and resolution of people like yourself,to even attempt something like this Sheila..and as regards Steve.well ,they say opposites attract This goes to prove it's correct :o) x

Honestly Sandra - that is much too kind. I just like playing around with dwarf trees, and by the way, I don't understand the comment about Steve!
Thanks Julia - hope you get there one day - May and June are the best months as there are masses of Rhodos and Azaleas :)

All I meant was, with you liking Bonsai, which are quite small, and you mentioned Steve is only interested in growing great Pines..opposite ends of the gardening spectrum ? I hope I didn't offend you in any way..and I just hope that is your husband name,Sheila,or I'm in trouble...shall I get my coat now ?

You're not in trouble, Sandra, you just made me laugh! No offence taken . . . and just to put the record straight, Steve is our paddle-boarding son who lives in Cornwall :))

Phew, thank goodness for that..and I should have realised Steve is your son, after leaving a comment on the photo you posted recently ! duh! I blame it all on this wet weather,it must be water on the brain from Tatton Park show on Sunday ! that's my excuse, and I'm sticking with it :o) x

Thanks Stan . . . if you're right, it should look even more spectacular in the autumn.

That one is a beauty isn't it. I wonder how they stop people from destroying them..it looks like it would be so easy to knock that over.
