Corner Border

Corner Border

the corner of my new border. The Acer came with me in a pot from our last house but the grasses are new additions including the Zebra grass at the rear which was kindly sent to me by Shirley (Tulip)

Thank you Wildrose.
This Acer has been in a pot for 8 or 9 years(I think) at my old house , Amy, but only just planted it here.I hope I will be ok. My new garden is mainly grasses with a few herbaceous perennials mixed in and a couple of shrubs.

This part of the bed got quite a lot from the next door sprinkler Steve but not as much as the other bed nearer the house.

My eyes seem to go straight to it when looking out of the back door, Shirley.I must say I'm pleased with how the coppery brown grasses and red Heucheras blend with them.

That corner is really getting going now Dawn and I'm really pleased with it...the Acer is starting to produce some new shoots, too!!

Thats a good sign having new shoots show its settled in. Next year cant wait to see it all established.

Yes, the whole garden has begun to,look more established since the recent rains!

21 Aug, 2015

Not had much rain here just the odd day rain water is best for them.

Oh we've had a lot in last 2/3 weeks but nothing for weeks before that.Ground is still moist at the moment even though it's been unbearably hot today!

21 Aug, 2015

Yes its hot here Paul my garden is hard bone dry, soon we will be moaning about the snow, some how I don't think we will see much of that either this year. Old wives tale plenty of berrys on the Rowan means a mild winter and I ve seen loads of berries on the Rowan trees here.

Let's hope those old wives are right then!
