Kill you speed, not a snail!

I was just having a bit of fun with all the millions of hidden snails I found in the gooseberry bush today. This is just a few of them. They went for a ride on the back of my husbands van today all around Lancashire.

The snails in my garden have to cross the road the get back again.

Sometimes mine do too.... depending on my mood. I let these guys go, as I noticed they were all just resting on the leaves. I'm not sure they care for gooseberries and haven't really bothered with the strawberries either this year. I'm waiting for my husband to get home to see if they are still there.

This made me smile!!! Our snails hit the tarmac but the hedgehogs and birds get a lot of them as we find lots of empty shells around.

We had a hedgehog on the drive last night, first one we have seen here. I rarely find empty shells about, which is a shame. Saves me murdering the little things in a variety of inventive ways. Hedgehog must not be a frequent visitor to our parts.

There are gaps in the fences here so they can get about. Have you got a way through to the back garden for the hog? It only needs a small gap for it to get through.

Yes, it could easily get through the gate at the bottom. Hopefully it will be back.

They usually patrol the same area each night and our hedgehogs are usually on time. One appears and then another comes and sometimes a third.
