Lily - smell the perfume!

Can smell it from here! None of my scented ones are open yet. But they will be lovely next month.

None of mine are open yet either Karen, but the buds are getting larger and larger!

Did you know (I heard this just a while ago) that the pollen is very harmful to cats! Not sure what it does to them unless it is poisonous to them.

Does anyone else know?

I think it is poisonous to them, Shirley. Some of the supermarket bunches of lilies have a warning on the label.

thanks Shirlwhirl, yes I did know about the pollen apparently it falls onto their fur and when they clean themselves it goes into their gut and poisons them. Not a nice thing. I have seen the label that Melchi mentions on the flowers from the shops too. Do not know whether it causes just sickness or kills them. Suppose if they are weak and elderly cats any kind of poison like this would kill the poor things. I have no cats here probably a good job.
