Sphaeralcea 'Incana'

Not supposed to be long lived and the rest from the same packet of seeds are long gone but this one plant has come back every year for at least 8 years now,i just cut it back hard early spring, must be the perfect spot for it.

I think I bought the seed from Thompson + Morgan got another version too 'Los Brisas' same grey foliage but a mixture of pinks and white, they didn't come back after the first year though, must see if they still sell them as i really liked them too :-) gets to about 4ft tall.
Not like me not to collect seed!!

That's right Siris desert mallow isn't it? Maybe that's why it does so well in the spot its in,the sunniest spot in the poorest sandy dry soil but it loves it.
