We have done our yearly pilgrimage to see the sand sculpture art on the beach up island. This year theme was Heroes and Villains
This is Batman and Joker called "my better half". I thought that it was very effective against the blue sky.
It got my vote.
No flowers here but outside this complex is very beautiful ocean side park with plenty of flower beds.

Shirley, you and I are not alone, it had many chips (votes).
I thought so too Sheila. There were several thoughtful displays but this was the most effective , to me anyway.
Thank you Amy. Is there a regular competition on your beach? This sculptor was from Netherlands (I think) there were many Americans one Mexican some Canadians and couple Europeans.

It is amazing. I like the way it is assembled without the two halves connecting the way we would expect.

Here they have the Sandcastle (it's not only sandcastles) competition which is this month, also.

Yes Delonix1, it is a competition. Every year...end of July.
It always have a theme. Last year it was music. This year was Heroes and Villains. There were few sculpturist from California.

It's amazing what the artists can do with sand! It's too bad ultimately they must go back to sand. :>(
