Amy and Keith, I'm pleased to report that I've managed a lovely young Lobelia Tupa plant from Keith's seed! Now, should I overwinter it in the greenhouse, or plant it in the soil before it gets cold?

Oh gosh I hate advising people in case they die :o( if its not very big I would keep it in the greenhouse for this winter Karen ,I have to say all my L. Tupa's appear to be winter hardy plus they set seed anywhere they choose I have plants in places I never expected them to be but love them so let them get on with it ... Keith might tell you differently from his own experience ... good luck :o)

Karen - job to say without seeing it. I overwinter them in the greenhouse for the first winter but it does get rather cold this far inland.

Wow that's lovely Amy, salvias are such great plants :-)
Lucky you with the lobelia seeding around never had that and I have to mulch mine to protect them and collect seed just in case, lost the lot in the cold winters but just getting some nice size plants again, I'd overwinter in the greenhouses too Karen.

One of my favourites - shame that mine copped it over the winter.
