Oh stop it Amy, you are making me drool now, I found one wild strawberry in the garden, it was delicious, unfortunately not enough to make a dessert lol
8 Sep, 2015
Funny I did the same thing I wondered why the birds hadn't eaten it ....

Amy! Love it! Please, can you write a recipe? Thank you so much! Pavlova is my favourite, but I make it with blackberries and originally it was made with kiwi.
This looks Great and I am sure it was consumed in a very short conversation.

Thanks Chris , I often use different fruits Kat mandarin in the winter or raspberries from the freezer picked in the summer I use the left over egg yolks to make lemon cream ice ,are you still at your same address ? I will PM you !

I would much prefer a bigger slice..:o)
12 Sep, 2015
It's the "moderation" that gets to me, Bloomer. ;-)
12 Sep, 2015
We all have our own interpretation of "moderation,"Lori..sometimes bordering on "overload" :o)
12 Sep, 2015
I'm truly sorry girls I can't think of any way it could be made more sugar free friendly for you what a shame . you could try a smidgen with a strawberry , can you eat strawberries ?
12 Sep, 2015
Dear Amy, we are still at the same address! It will be lovely to hear from you.
12 Sep, 2015
Wow. Look at that!!! Guess its all gone now :( unless you saved me some ... ;-)
12 Sep, 2015
No problem Amy..Strawberries are fine for me..eaten lots of them this summer..and with cream on occasions..last checkup was favourable,so it gave me a bit more leeway.:o)
12 Sep, 2015
Stop right there,Sheila..do not lead me into temptation ! Lol
12 Sep, 2015
Snap Sheila..I had a crisp sandwich at teatime, after going for a pub lunch today ..:o)
12 Sep, 2015

Sheila crisps isn't the answer help yourself quickly before its all gone :o) Sandra Crisp sandwich do people really have crisp sandwiches thats new to me something new to try :o)) x
12 Sep, 2015
:-). Thanks
Amy, you've led a sheltered life if you've never had a crisp sandwich, salt and vinegar flavour makes good one, put plenty of butter on the bread x
13 Sep, 2015
Amy and Sandra ... our son told us recently that a crisp sandwich shop opened in July this year in Keighley, West Yorkshire! Sounds like Sandra needs to pay it a visit ... :o)
13 Sep, 2015
We never had crisps as youngsters Dawn only dripping and cold potato sandwiches sometimes beetroot if we were lucky LoL ... Thats interesting Shirley I have friends in Keighley they are hoping to come to Norfolk later this year I must stock up on crisps for their sandwiches :o)
13 Sep, 2015
I've had dripping on bread Amy but not cold potatoes, nothing nicer than cold, new potatoes though, yum
13 Sep, 2015
Thin slices of potato is really nice with black pepper dawn , I've not had dripping for donkeys years , I remember there being massive bowls of the stuff in the pantry after a huge joint of Pork on Sunday !
13 Sep, 2015
Oh dear, what have I started again! We once had an ongoing blog about crisp sandwiches before..following a thread about something completely different ..as we do ! :o)
Amy,you don't know what you are missing..I prefer plain ones, and Russell likes Beefy..well a man would Lol
ooh, dripping on bread ,I used to love that..The local Butchers still sell it in little containers..it used to be a mainstay when there was nothing else...especially the brown bits at the bottom.:o)
I don't fancy cold potato in a sarnie though, but love potato salad, and cold new potato's Dawn..
I can't believe a shop sells crisp sandwiches in Keighley,Shirley..can't possibly be as good as home made ! lol what a rip off..I wonder how much they charge for those ???
..and Dawn,we are of the same mind..It's time Amy got with it,don't you think ? ha ha..
14 Sep, 2015
Yes ,You've done it again Sandra Lol , I'm going to bow down under pressure and will try a crisp sandwich it will have to be a plain or Bacon Frazzles I'm not keen on the other strange flavours I can't help wondering what they put in them to make them taste like that ! I'll let you know how I get on perhaps at lunch time :o))
14 Sep, 2015
Lol,Amy..I will await your star rating..:o) I don't like other flavour crisps in a sarnie,or any other time..just a simple Yorkshire lass, with no sense of adventure :o) xx
14 Sep, 2015
LOL.. you girls do love your food! Never thought about crisp sandwiches! will have to try that one. No worries about cutting down on anything in that Pavlova, Amy. It looks like perfection, yum. Moderation would have to be the order of the day, but I could, if I was very good, have a single slice. Trouble with me is...single slice is worse than none! I bet this recipe would be great with nectarines and apricots. mmmm.....
14 Sep, 2015
Yes Bloomer ;-)
14 Sep, 2015
..and if I really want to push the boat out,I love a mashed banana on Granary,or Wholemeal bread..OH has his sliced ,..posh,eh? oh the joys of simple food :o)
I love Raspberries on Pavlova,Amy..just so you know.:o)
14 Sep, 2015
One slice will be enough Lori its very rich . Dawn / Sandra sorry girls I didn't get around to having crisp sandwich today at lunch time I'd forgotten I had a hospital appointment at mid-day I'll try again tomorrow , You'll have to come down to Norfolk Sandra I'll make one specially with Raspberries , Have I said the wrong thing I might have a queue from all over the globe at my door Lol ... I have had mashed banana sandwich :o)
14 Sep, 2015
I've had sliced banana sandwich. Hope your hospital appointment went well.
14 Sep, 2015
Yes thank Dawn I'll answer your email soon ,if you come to Norfolk I'll make you a pavlova , I like bananas best sliced with thick cream on top, Yummy !
14 Sep, 2015
So entertaining reading through the comments! Just Google 'Mr. Crisp' for more info. on the weird and wonderful concoctions for crisp sandwiches.
14 Sep, 2015
Will you Amy, that is very tempting x
I like banana split ...... Ice cream, fresh cream and crushed nuts, a 1970s blast from the past.
14 Sep, 2015
I forgive you Amy,seeing as you had an appointment..I hope it went well:o) but you still have a treat in store for tomorrow now..I bet you are delirious with excitement ! Lol.. and I love bananas and cream too..if you can't be bothered with Pavlova, for me,Dawn and the rest of the World ..simples ..ha ha x
14 Sep, 2015
I agree with you Sheila..no quality dripping from beef anymore..maybe just as well really..we didn't even know the word,Cholesterol then did we? neither did the Medical Profession either,I think ,back in the day..but we live to tell the tale.:o)
14 Sep, 2015
I don't believe a word they tell us anymore Sandra they change their minds every week , "a little of what you fancy does you good " they use to say , thats good enough for me :o)
15 Sep, 2015
I tend to agree,Amy..I think we are all adult enough to make our own minds up,as to what we should, and shouldn't have..and up to the individual to decide..
