DD my OH has a way to keep slabs and block paving looking good. Put a litre of thin bleach in a watering can with a rose (we keep a can just for the job), fill up so you have 1 to 5 mix, apply, leave and algae and muck goes. We usually do on a damp day so it doesn't dry out too quick?

That's a lovely area to sit in!
My neighbours do the bleach thing on their driveway, and it works for them.

The great thing Wylie is I do actually sit here it faces the dayliy bed on one side ;-)

Dawn what about the plants? all our paving is surrounded by plants, you have to use every available space in a small garden!!

Let me know how you get on Kathy. Morrison's is 29p. No labour invoved, just let it work. Awww DD, I don't have plants near paving except in pots. I also kill weeds in gravel by applying salt, no plants in that either.
