Potatoes dug from barrel - September

Ah, makes me miss the allotment! Lovely crop there.

When I get those tiny ones, there is only one thing to do - - beef stew! with lots of gravy.

Very satisfying!

Oh for sure, and you can add some, many, or all of those little potatoes. It comes out delicious anyway!

Thanks all. Can anyone give a reason for potatoes 'boiling away'? These are tending to, yet when I bought them last year and we were eating them they were perfect, they stayed whole all the way. I forget what sort they were now though.
