Amaryllis Belladonna

That is a lovely plant..Symba seems to approve too :o)

So pleased Symba seems to like the plant. Wylie thinks it is a Hippeastrum, not an Amaryllis, the name I was given on receipt of it x years ago. It is much redder, not orangey.

After seeing a photo of it, I'm not sure that it is a Hippeastrum, only that it isn't a Amaryllis belladonna.

Yes Siris definitely red the sun actually came out last night and no matter what angle it came out this colour.
Ooooo the mystery deepens wonder what it is Wylie.

If I am trying to photograph a red or purple plant, I try to shade it from the sun or do it in the evening.

Yes should have moved it out the sunroom for the picture really.
