Oct 24th 2014 last year, Amy. I did prune it earlier in the year and now some of the shoots are invisible up the adjacent tall shrub.

I have this. Is it flowering early or late? Or maybe both?

Ours started in September, which I thought was rather early? but all our other winter flowering ones have no buds at all...such an attractive clematis...
