Clematis identity crisis.....solved Polish Spirit......

Is that Polish Spirit?

Its difficult to tell I find the colours on photos don't always come out true ,I have two labels for Polish Spirit which shows it to be more of a plum colour but then labels can't be trusted !

Polish Spirit is quite blue/violet, not plum. This looks very like it, and it flowers late and goes on for ages. A beautiful var. and a real boon for the late garden. :)

My C Polish Spirit is flowering better now than a month ago, it does look like yours Dd.

Thanks for that Karen my labels are obviously not showing their true colours in fact it has helped clear up a mystery as I have a Clematis in flower at the moment which looks very much like this one I didn't know what it was as it didn't fit in with my labels if it still has good flowers on tomorrow after this rain I will take a photo for your ID...

:)) I don't always know, but I can spot one I've grown myself. Do love my clematis. Sadly, not many of mine have done anything this year. The cold wasn't good for them.

I'm going to put my photo on now karen / Angela If it is Polish Spirit I'm not surprised I didn't recognize it by my label the colour is nothing like it .... let me know what you think !
