You can see how tempting that would be to try ,Amy..isn't it a beauty..are they poisonous? I don't know much about these ..

No Dawn its just outside we do have a good selection in our garden ,yes Sandra they are poisonous I wouldn't want them for breakfast Lol ..

I've tried to buy the spores online but without luck. I would love them in the woodland. Websites just seem to think you want them to get high on lol (magic mushrooms)

Lol they would think that Dawn , if there are any others growing in the area you may find the spores disperse naturally with the right conditions in your woodland fingers crossed ...

John has seen some when cycling in Staffordshire but none around here. You never know one day, one may appear.

Amy, I've taken a look at that blog and there is NO way I'm going to show it to Freya. For one thing I don't have an old tree I can fashion a Fairy house from (which she will definitely want me to do) For another your fairy house makes my homemade effort look pathetic. So, can we keep your fairies between the two of us please?

I've spotted one or two of these in the woods recently but they are all 'nibbled' - I wondered what has been at them - insects perhaps. No bodies lying around!

Oh Waddy, LOL , make Freya a little shoe box one for in her bedroom ,she could have a little bed & a fairy in it :o) It makes you wonder doesn't it Gill some of the most poisonous things on earth are not poisonous to some animals who thrive on them ...
