My Song of India Dracaena is getting really big. It's been in the ground now for about 3 years or maybe 4. Photo taken Oct. 27, 2015.

Yes, I think this one is more tropical. I've had this plant for years. It was in shade in a pot for a long time until I decided to plant it in the ground. I always see this one planted outside next to a wall or house as it looks better that way.

I think the all green Song of India in the tropics not only becomes a tree, but can live a couple of centuries. I don't know if the variegated can become a Methuselah.

The green form is only Dracaena reflexa, only the white variegated form is 'Song of India'.
Dracaena reflexa 'Song of India' grows to be gigantic, in time. Rancho Soledad sells giant specimens more than 25' tall. You have to see Bernieh's (in Australia) gigantic, massive specimen which is located in the ground in Bisbane, Australia. It must be about 100 years old (or maybe older).

My back yard is even worse. It's so crowded. I need to get out there with a machete! lol!

I have a Dracaena that resembles yours but is more cold hardy. My try with Song of India was as a fast indoor grower. Outside,it hated the 2007 cold and died on the porch.
My present plant is much slower growing...but always looks good.
Anyways, that's a great looking plant Andy. I see them on those moving to the tropics shows on HGTV.
