I actually got this plant from a friend who brought me this plant from cuttings of his garden from Oakland. This was in Sept of 2000.

Never ever seen or even heard of a blue ginger......quite stunning!!

I've posted of this plant almost every fall for many years on GoY. In the ground it grows to about 7' (2.1 m) tall. It's not a true ginger.
