I made a big pile of leaves under some shrubs yesterday. There were some hedgehog 'presents in the garden last month and I'm hoping one will decide to hibernate here.

no hedgehogs here Andrew think they stay in the wood, not seen one for years, except squashed on the road. Wish they would come into my garden but think Walterwoo dog keeps them at bay. They have plenty of hideaways here though with the fields and ditches all around us. Hope you get one in your leaf pile. I do have a hedgehog house in a quiet corner if they do manage to come inside the garden, fingers crossed.

There were probably several just up the road from me, but the area has now turned into a new housing estate. I'm hoping at least one will migrate to Devonia.

Used to have a family of hedgehogs in the garden, not sure where they lived as I have plenty of hideaways but not seen any for must be 3 years now. Hedgehog numbers are very low these days.

Love hedgehogs, but they are having a hard time.

think they have been susceptible to a virus of sorts too :O( my son has just taken some to a hedgehog care centre close to where he lives as they were not going to be able to make it through the winter months as they were so small. Hope they survive, think they will with all the good looking after that these centres do.
