Were you thinking of Afro hair Paul? I had a perm as a teenager and my hair went Afro. I went back to the hairdressers and had it cut very short for a while.

Well, yes I had a couple perms in late 70's (like the footballlers) but, I was thinking 80's mullet like lamole of Kadgagoogoo...ha ha, remember them?

Lindak I remember getting a friend to perm my hair, and I have very thick hair!! and my Father saying to me what on earth have you done to your hair? I was married with three children at the time, I was quite upset, because he never critisized me normally, so it must have been bad!! but when I look back it was hideous lol the things we do for fashion!!

DD I can remember crocheting a few clothes...poncho...dress...top. I used to wear Midi skirts, mini skirts, hot pants with patent white leather boots....suedette skirts and they seem to all be creeping back into fashion again.
Stilletto heels, slingbacks. Heels seem to have gone very high now and I don't know how they wear them. I can remember Platform shoes as well.....

We must be around the same age!! can remember wearing all of those......our daughters can still totter around in those very high heels, and one of them is 50!

I wear mostly flat shoes now for comfort DD. I had a pair of white leather sling back stillettos that I wore in the sixties and threw them out when they had nearly fallen apart. I loved those shoes.

Me too because of my dicky knees!! we always have a favourite pair of shoes....
