Mourning Dove

Nice photo,but why is he/she Mourning.. Lost it's partner maybe?

I wondered that Sandra ours are always in pairs :o(

lol, I used to wonder about that too, until I heard it "cooing." They sound like somebody crying at a funeral - sobbing and it makes me feel sad too.

Lovely picture Paul. We have ordinary Doves visiting the garden, and Woodpigeons.
