Blossom on the Apricot tree 4/1/16

Never seen a free standing Apricot in the UK, alway trained against a wall. Hope a wind doesn't whip off the blossom.

Blossom on my plum too and the bullfinches are back! , they love to pinch all the buds, never usually see them till February.

I think the frost and snow of the last three days has probably put paid to any fruit this year.
My daughter bought me the tree in 1993 when I moved here. It is in a sheltered corner that gets good sun. It has grown a bit since then and needs cutting back badly. I have always said the fruit is more like peaches than apricot. The jam made with fruit is apricot though.
