first snowdrops

Nice to see your Snowdrops flowering so early in the year! Mine are hardly pushing their noses through the compost on the balcony at the moment! Yet I have Daffodils with buds that will open in a week or two after the cold spell for this week ends! Never had Daffs flowering in January before!

Great to see them......delightful plants.

Desperate for sunshine again. Daffs. not looking like flowering here yet! Snowdrops in tubs are coming into flower now too! :O)

I found a couple of photos of the Snowdrops on the balcony from last year & they were flowering at this time - yet this year, even with such an incredibly warm winter, they are hardly pushing through the compost in the pots!

its strange isn't it how some do and some do not! the snowdrops that have been in the hedgerows all the time the cottage has been here (I believe) are only just poking their heads up through the soil, they seem to know its not the right time to be flowering. Nature is so good!
