Andy might know if this one of the edibles planted or ornamental.
Maybe Cassia tomentosa. I had a giant Cassia tomentosa in Hayward when I lived there. It was massive....22' tall and 25' wide. I measured it. LOL!
I had Cassia leptophylla, also. It's still there and flowering. The Cassia tomentosa was unfortunately cut down.
It froze back in Dec. 1990 and it grow out within one season.
