We have some feeders for hummingbirds out in the garden Waddy but if they can get enough nectar from these aloes they wound ignore our feeders.

Yes, they love the Aloe flowers because most of the hummingbirds need the nectar in winter, when most Aloe species flower.
There's another hummingbird nest in my tropical guava tree. This is the third year in a row. The hummingbird has eggs and has been sitting on her eggs for the last week or so. The babies should hatch soon.

Klahanie:
I feel so sick! I can't believe it! Today, I think the crows destroyed the hummingbird's nest! :>((( The humming bird which has been sitting on her eggs for over a week is gone and here nest is in pieces. It's really sad! :>((
Last year I cut back one of my large Ficus trees this time of year. I accidentally cut down a hummingbird's nest with eggs. I tried to put the nest back and the eggs back in the nest but the birds abandoned them. I felt so HORRIBLE!!!
I usually try not to cut back my trees this time of year or I look very carefully before cutting branches back. The hummingbirds have nests all over the trees here, right now.

The nest is still there. It's puffed up and not compact like it would be. I may still take a photo and post it. I really think it was the crows that got to it.
The hummingbirds may make a new nest. When I accidentally cut down the nest last year. I'm almost positive the two hummingbirds made another nest.

I know. The hummingbird sat on her eggs through the whole big wind storm last week. I thought she was going to blow out of her nest. Now, she's gone and the nest is a mess. It's sad! Although, that's nature.
