Spacecoast Dragon Prince × Life is a Highway

Spacecoast Dragon Prince × Life is a Highway

This was scheduled for the trash, but I used its scape as an excuse to see what I would get. Now it is good enough to find a place in the keep crowd. With around 250 seeds already germinated, I need to get the beds ready for the new seedlings.

My garden has never really quit for the winter. Right now the Pittosporum undulatum trees are in bloom and smelling up the place (the fragrance is really strong). My Strelitzia nicolai is almost open, and just about every day there is a daylily open.

Very pretty !!
250 my goodness, that's my job for the weekend get the Daylily seeds sorted and check my seedbox for what needs sowing next, propagator at the ready :-)

I see you are back - hope you had a great time.
This one finally opened all the way at about 5 PM. It's normal during the winter for them to spend all day getting the petals to lay flat.
I don't have access to my propagator right now - I have it plugged in, and the cats found it. They moved in, so there isn't any room for anything else. It keeps the window area just warm enough for the daylily seeds to germinate on the shelves above it.
I think I will be adding a few more new ones to my order that is shipping in the spring.

Yes thankyou Wylie we had a wonderful time 30+ degrees every day but with a lovely breeze, we visited The Flower Forest what a fantastic place ,the resort gardens were pretty impressive too! I'll do a blog when I get round to resizing my pictures, still washing and ironing, why do we always wear so many clothes on holiday!
Aaaw cats always find the warmest places don't they .
More new ones! me and Gg really need to plan that raid ;-)

I made the mistake of checking out my No.1 dealers' site, and there are some new ones I have got to have (like 'Fried Rice'); so I really need to find the space for everything. If you are bringing a spade, can you hurry up and help dig out the rejects?

8 Feb, 2016

Oh WOW !!! Can see why you had to have Fried Rice just looked at it on Ladybug site stunning!!!
Booking the flights now lol, get that spade packed Gg ;-))))

I am also waiting to hear back from Eurodaylily. I requested a reservation for 'Force Field'. That should help my DIP program.
At least the weather would be better here for you. Not the 30° of Barbados, but our low was only 15° last night. I have a bunch of seedlings in the cold greenhouse full time now.

I like force field, its a bit pricey $$$

8 Feb, 2016

No, pricey is what I paid for 'Jane's Pink and Blue' (€150).
I received an e-mail that all but 1 of what I wanted have been reserved for me:
Force Field
Now or Never
Amethyst Prism
Pirate's Prism
Garnet Prism
Xylophone Jazz
and to replace the one that isn't available, I just requested he reserve 'Dreamy Dreaming' for me.
I plan on using them with 'Frog's Eye' and 'Twisted Mint Julep', 2 large TET spatulate or crispate UFO's.

all amazing eyes and edges my fav is Now or never.

I can not find "Dreamy Dreaming"

9 Feb, 2016

Sorry, for some reason I keep mixing the name up; it is 'Dreamy Drawing' by Lambertson. In the first round of ordering, I reserved its pod parent, 'Four Eyes'.

Love all the Prisms that eye on those huge spatulate ufo's would be amazing !!, can't wait to see all your new ones flower :-)
I spotted scapes on Cosmic Hummingbird and Edge of Darkness today in February!!!

I am surprised you are getting scapes already. I noticed 3 of my 1 year old seedlings have put up scapes.
