My Super Nova Angel's Trumpets is flowering again! It really doesn't like the really hot weather we've been having; however, it does get it flowering. Photo taken Feb. 15, 2016.

Brugmansia blooms off-and-on throughout the year (here). The cycle of my shrubs are 6 weeks.

That is about right for this plant in our garden here.

I have so many varieties of Angel's Trumpets in the ground...there's almost always one in bloom at all times.
It's so insanely hot here right now, the flowers won't last long, unfortunately. It forecasted to be 95ºF (35ºC) here where I live. It was 88ºF (31ºC) by 11:00 a.m.

Wow, that is hot. we should have wintered in San Diego.

It's been HORRIBLE! It was 88ºF (31ºC) in my house yesterday! We're suppose to have tons of rain this year. Not sure where all our rain is going. It's suppose to cool down for a few days and then back to very hot weather again. We desperately need a lot of rain or our extreme drought will continue for another year. :((

I only get to see this when I visit the Botanical Gardens.

I have so many colors all over my front and back yards. They're very common in California.

A beautiful sight.....shame about the heat though, that's hot!!

And it's still HOT! This is going to be the hottest February on record for San Diego. We thought we couldn't beat the heat of last winter. It's crazy!

When will it all end, quite a worry!
26 Feb, 2016
It is, especially since we haven't had any rain in February.
I can't believe all my Angel's Trumpet are blooming like crazy! I have a pink, Ecuador Pink, peach, white , double white, Jamaica Yellow, Charles Grimaldi, Super Nova. There's so many varieties for sale here I can't keep up with them.

You are lucky to have so many to chose from.....

We just got three small Angel's Trumpets from a friend called: "Shredded". It's a newer white variety. Just need to find a place for them in the ground. They don't grow very well in pots. What happens is that they just end up growing from the pot into the ground. Pretty much all the ones I have growing in the ground grew into the ground from gallon pots (from the holes in the pot). There's only two that were intentionally put into the ground, in my front and back yards.

Somebody told me they are called "Angel's Trumpets" because that's what you'll be hearing if you try to eat them.
27 Feb, 2016
Yes, they're toxic. You definitely don't want to eat it!
They're great ornamental trees/shrubs which flower most of the year, here.
