Blue Tit nest building

How lovely,Amy..you will be able to watch their antics over the next few weeks..and some little ones emerging..We never had anymore in our nest box after the first lot..It's hidden under the Ivy now,but I still keep looking...

You don't know whats going on under that ivy Sandra you might be surprised :o) I hope you do to Carole they say Blue Tits lay their eggs 6 weeks before warm weather that way they will hatch at the right time , I don't think I'm capable of climbing the tree to prove it Lol .. Isn't that lovely?! I've seen two Robins dancing round each other, and a blackbird this morning with a beak-ful of nesting material . . . hurray!

Could it rally be Spring.......I do hope so..

I'm 'with' Amy . . . frozen to the bone in a croquet match this morning, and it took OH and I most of the afternoon to warm up . . . brrr. It's got to get warmer soon!

Spring in fits and starts ....just the usual then. But how wonderful to see Blue-Tits nesting. I think they are my favourite garden birds..so pretty and so petite. You are so lucky to have these lovely big trees Amy. I shall be waiting a few more years yet before I have trees big enough for birds to nest in. The two apple trees were so full of canker we've cut them hard back, so we don't even have them any more. Still....in time. I shall have to be patient.

oh the reminders... I will have to get the family together and have a birdhouse building bee. It makes a person feel so good to see the little birds taking up residence and raising their little ones with us!
