This has fancier markings than the usual hybrid ones everyone has.

Thanks. I use a Nikon. Then the only editing I do is to crop the photo. Some times it is very difficult to get a flower in the frame when the wind is blowing, so I back out a little, take a picture, then zoom in with the cropping feature.

If you want to get the best colours in a photo, it should be taken before the sun hits the flower or take a shade umbrella. It's something I picked up from the AHS Journal when they were discussing how to take photos for their contests.

Thanks. I posted another photo of this flower today that really shows off the markings.

I'm telling people to get Nikon. My Canon 510 was supposed to be a good sub SLR type camera. I'm not that happy with it. It has certain sweet spots that take crystal clear photos...but I cant count on that for most situations.
I also dont care that it focuses on the subject and blurs everything else nearby and farby. Auto focus cannot be shut off.
My warning- never buy a camera where auto focus cant be shut off.
I also thought I had a months time to return it. It turned out they had only gave two weeks. Or,I would have rushed to return it.
Oh well.

I miss my old Canon SLR film camera I bought at the Navy Exchange in Yokosuka in 1985. It may not have the abilities the digital ones have, but the photos were much better.

See who else is growing Gladiolus carneus (Large Painted Lady).
See who else has plants in genus Gladiolus.
