A very determined young lady. Determined to find out what's around the corner, and determined not to drop the ball!

Thank you. It's one of my favourite parts of the garden.

It's lovely to have enough garden for a wild patch......

It's actually not a very large garden, Dd. I have it in three fairly equal sections : a patio with a herb bed alongside close to the house in a very sunny area; a smallish circular grassed area (not in good enough condition to call a lawn, although that's what it should be) which is surrounded by fairly deep borders; a "wild" area through an arch, which borders onto a school site, and is edged by sycamores over the low wall. At the moment it is all a bit unkempt because - for various reasons - last year was not my best gardening year! But I have loved it very much for the last 43 years.
If you are interested, I wrote a blog "My garden" on my "Melchisedec" account, describing it.

Is this darling child a grand-daughter? I personally love the wild look. A beautiful formal garden is a treat, but a hunt in the wild for queer plants that's fun.

Yes, Wells, she is my granddaughter, a real peach! She spends every Thursday here with us.
The wild look is very much my style, I just can't help it. I reorganise beds (sometimes) in the fond belief that I want more formality but they always end up on the wild side because it's what I like really!

Oh yes - determined is the word! Lenora will be two next week. She comes here every Thursday, and is getting to be so much fun that the hours just fly. Occasionally I go to her house instead - about 45 minutes away - and spend 10 - 11 hours there. It skims by, and we enjoy so many laughing times together! Such a joy.

Oh that sounds good, Homebird! Hard work, but so rewarding. I hope Samuel's Christmas meal is a success!
They were here on Friday for a family get-together. Lenora wanted to sit on my lap towards the end of the meal - the first time she has ever done that with anyone while her Mummy and Daddy have been there. "Pleased" and "flattered" don't begin to describe how I felt! But, of course, she is growing up fast.
