Thanks both , we have Bramley cooking apples ,Russets ,cox's orange pippin ,Pears & Victoria plums Paul ..

It is a small orchard Paul , are Caramel apples what we call Toffee apples ? if so yes I have made them :o) the cookers are mostly cooked and then frozen in blocks for pies/ crumbles to be used with the blackberries in the winter or made into apple sauce for Pork ... the eating apples keep for some time if kept in the right conditions ..what would we do without apples we love them ...

Wow, sounds like you got it down to a science Amy. I agree, how sad this world would be without apples. I like the use with blackberries - great combo.

Thanks Sheila , as you can see the grass that end is full of moss we can't do anything about scarifying it until the spring flowers have finished the grass is full of different kinds covering the whole small orchard all blooming at different times ...
