Brian and Amy we had a severe case of Pieris Lace Bug damage, a problem in the south (as usual) too bad to spray, so we just had to get rid of the plants, some well over ten years old, just two plants left, but the variegated one is going the same way, going to look for varieties less susceptible, if there are any........
Amy your shrub looks really healthy, and so pretty, will just have to admire yours instead....

thats bad, this bug is one I am not aware of ,I have several Pieris so will google and find out a bit more about it.

I'm going to Google this as well I have a couple which are not looking too good but I'm not sure if its because we moved them last year ...

Thanks 3p .. I don't appear to have the disease my other Pieris shrubs are green & healthy one is definitely dead I'm fairly sure that's because I moved it :o(

Pieris lacebug originates from Japan and was first detected in Britain in a garden near Windsor in 1998.

Glad to hear your s are healthy shame about the one you moved funny how some plants dont like to be moved.

It even looks like a galaxy! Very pretty.
