The purple flowered variegated Honesty, a biennial plant so useful as a gap filler. Last years seeds are just germinating as well. I pull out the ones in inappropriate positions.

They self seed easily. After they have produced the 'silver pouch' seeds (very attractive) I discard the plant and throw the seeds into the back of the border. After the two seed leaves, the next leaves develop their variegation.

These fascinate me as when the pouch of seeds appear, the plant takes on a whole new look. I have them seeding around too in very odd places, my original seed came from Toto on here a few years ago. Another nice member now gone ?

Just remembered, I think the seeds heads were called 'lockets' colloquially.

Lockets, a fitting name.
