Corydalis Wilsonii

Have shown this before and fail to understand why it is not more widely grown
Corydalis wilsonii is an alpine plant and can withstand -10*C quite well. It grows best in a well drained soil - basically a scree mixture - BUT it does not tolerate winter wet, like so many of our high alpine plants.
The secret of growing this most attractive plant is to protect it from the vagaries of our winter weather; so we grow it most successfully in the raised beds in the Alpine House, where we can control the winter wet.
When the soil conditions are right Corydalis wilsonii will seed about and it is an easy operation to remove seedlings to other locations or to pot on to share with friends

Amy
few things to come but lot gone over, the orange Tropaeolum I trained across the inside roof is just about finished that started to flower in January so a good value plant unlike the early iris that go over in a few days.
