Thanks Kathy. Aren't Anemone Blanda amazing! These have been flowering for weeks. They started before the narcissi which have since finished and are now there with the tulips.

I was just saying the same Dawn !! Mine are still flowering too something I must get more of this autumn maybe some white ones .

I have some white ones but they dont seem as vigorous as the blue, these blue have spread so well. Do you grow Wood Anemone? Mine have never done very well, I was hoping I would have swathes through the woodland, quite expensive and you dont get many of those little twiggy bits of woody roots in a pack, funny little things.

A lovely Spring meddley. My blue Anemone have little corms but the white have tiny black stick like rhizomes. Both increasing nicely, but I don't have a wood to fill just a couple of apple trees to under plant. I have just found a lilac anemone, have dug it up to start it's own lilac colony. Going to buy some yellow, but apparently those can be quite slow to increase.

I bought a pot of wood anemone a couple of years ago flowering now with 2 flowers ,need a few more I think lol .

A lovely mix it is too Dawn, I agree with you re the Anemone Blanda they have done so well...

Yes Siris, the A. blanda have corms and Wood Anemone like stick rhizomes but they don't seem to spread as well for me.
