You dont often see 2 robins together. These pair are constantly collecting meal worms so they must have alot of hungry babies nearby.

It's great to see them, isnt it. Funny how they take over our lives, I grated some cheese on the post for these this morning, one looked through the kitchen window at me as if to say - where are the meal worms? lol.
I've never seen any white on a blackbird - must be quite distinctive.

They do don't they I went to town the other day came back with two heavy bags and all it was was bird food and fish food lol , I have an old teapot hung in a rose bush to feed the little birds so the magpies can't eat it all and the robins waiting in there every morning.

This is so sweet ,we have a pair nesting somewhere near the greenhouse one flew into the greenhouse almost hitting me one day by mistake , meal worms are their favourites ..

I think we have more Blackbirds than our area can support. They are so aggressive to one another here, maybe the white is damage to the feather socket. Had a female killed last year by another, kept trying to take over someone else's nest.

Here it's blue tits Siris swarms of them and very fat pigeons, remember when I was little when my mum fed the birds it would always be starlings, that's something I never see now .

Kathy, I remember loads of starlings too when we were kids, we dont get them now and sparrows, never see them either.
Thanks Meadowland, OH said today, wonder if they're feeding a cuckoo, lol, as they are very busy.
Yes Amy, mealworms are the robins favourite here too, BonkersBon on here said to soak them in hot water first, so that it what I do, softens them nicely, however, I've run out so they are on grated cheese at the moment.
We get quite alot of blackbirds, so noisy, especially when they see Rox, our cat.

Aaaaw cute lovely picture :-)
I've was watching a pair of blackbirds building a nest last week in the laurel right near our new seating area so I'll have to leave that area alone for a while , the females quite distinct with one white feather :-)
