Magnolia Stellata Rosea

This M stellata is beginning to grow on me. I ordered a white one! Its growing stronger than my white but clashes rather badly as its next to a Photinia red robin and Rheum.

I think you're right Karen, the Photinia is less of a loss if it dies, than the magnolia, the P. pink marble next to it will need to go too. I think I might move them this weekend :-)

That's beautiful Dawn, I've just bought a magnolia this year different variety to yours its has three flowers this year , can't wait for the day it looks even remotely like this !!

Thanks K. This one is a much stronger plant than the white, I'm sure yours will flower well soon, this one gets better each year.

That's a pity....ditch the Photinia! ;) I'm ony kidding...sort of. I know Photinia is stunning further south, but up here it looks dire in the spring with all it's leaves scorched by cold winds. whereas Magnolia Stellata is a princess to my eye!
