This is one I keep from last year. It has increased the number of buds and is better branched than last year.

It is a brick red, and is very colorfast. A day in the sun doesn't bother it at all :) This is one I want to use with the prism types I should be receiving soon.
I like to see what is going on very late at night, and on those times when dew point and current temperature are the same, it sounds like walking on egg shells. Fortunately they prefer the old flowers to those about to open.

Lovely.......
I have scapes on 4 in April!!! In fact 15 scapes on 'Cosmic Hummingbird'.
The slugs aren't bothering mine they're much more interested in my iris!!!

I put a lot of mulch around a bulb of Dahlia imperialis, and the slugs have stayed away, so it has gotten over a foot tall already. I was lucky they weren't interested in the Moraea and Gladiolus all winter.
