Late day slice of the yard.

Just getting things organized. Planted marigolds- a day later slugs got some. I baited. Dont tell the 5 year old grandaughter.
Cordyline terminalis relative to the far left...Aechmea pineliana minuta bromeliad to the right. Potted Pseudobombax elipticum in the heavy clay pot. Still dormant.

I am looking forward seeing your Bombax bloom. But it blooms in winter does not it? All my marigolds are gone because of slugs, Stan. Did not last even a week.
Everything looks nice and organized there.

I think here in California it blooms before it grows new foliage. This one had some slug stem damage. It was in perfect condition until very recent. I also think it has reached flowering age and size. We will see what happens.

Tomorrow I can do a close up of the caudex on this plant...a nice striped turquoise trunk.

The rains have been a boon to snails and slugs. I baited for the third time this spring.
