I wish I could pin down what the parents are to this, but when I first started out, things weren't as easy to find as they are now. Now everything goes into rows, no staggering, no more than 5 across.

No. I converted a corn field into a garden and spent a lot of time growing wind breaks. It rarely gets below 50°F here.

I am still fighting the bracken and blackberry vines. There is a huge metrosideros tree in the middle of everything that dumps a lot of seed, and several acacias that keep trying to take over.

Looks very like it has 'Smoke Scream' in it don't you think ? You sent me a seedling from that several years ago , I'm probably totally wrong of course lol.

I was advised to stay away from those like Smoke Scream - that the flowers by that hybridizer don't do well in my warm climate. So you should have better luck with anything using SS.
