It could Bjs . It is very boggy there so I cannot plant much in that area below the stone wall anyway. That was a reason for planting the gunneras there.

We see candelabra Primulas used around and under them in the UK a lot.

A group of the yellow P.Florindae would look good they self seed. there is a similar red version if you prefered.

I do think it would look wonderful. As long as the gunnera will keep the big leaves up like this. I might even have some P. florindae on the property. just have to relocate it.
