The problem with fog is no pollen is produced by flowers like this one that I really want to use and see if the eye can be passed around.

I am trying again this year to spread this one around. I am almost to 100 tags out there, which means more tough choices in the fall.

I think I may have to give the seed sowing a miss next year :-( , because they take 2-3 years to flowers here they are really starting to mount up , I've got to be realistic, I could have another allotment but it takes me all my time trying to keep on top of what I've got!

I was just talking to the person who takes most of my rejects, and he is complaining about running out of space. Since my goal is different, he wants pretty flowers and I want flowers that meet a standard and can be registered, it is easy for me to maintain control on how many seedlings I have (named ones are different). I was showing him one, a strong orange with red eye and only 2 buds. If it doesn't rebloom with 15 buds later this year, it is gone. He likes the bright reds, but how many can you have that look the same? I saw all the new DIPs I now have, and have already started backing off on new crosses there and planning a new direction. With TETs, I'm going for edges this year. I have started clearing the area where I will put those I save this year, and where I can put a few new named ones next year.
