Under the carport is where I put my Cybidium Orchids for fresh air during the summer months. Then they go back into the cool conservatory for the winter and flowering.

Sack your house sitter!! Never seen a mauve, mine are yellow, pink and whitish plus duplicates + the 3 littlies I bought in Madeira. My Cymbdium like yours have all finished flowering for this year.

I would think so, providing they don't dry out for too long, or the pot gets flooded, if you have torrential rain.

Thanks Siris, I've put it in a pot with good drainage and if we get really heavy rain I'll put it under the porch .

I have 7 cymbidiums. All from one original plant. I have them outside now too. In the shade. They bloom in winter . I had 4 blooms last winter and my house sitter cut them off for her vase. She left me one so I did have one on the end of the bloom cycle. Mauve in colour.
